Numbers 14:33

33And your children ashall be shepherds in the wilderness bforty years and shall csuffer for your faithlessness, until the last of your dead bodies lies in the wilderness.

Deuteronomy 8:2

2And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you dthese forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, etesting you fto know what was in your heart, gwhether you would keep his commandments or not.
